- Responsible for production support engineering, including testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield problems; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; supplier related engineering changes and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints.
- Assist customers in device usage problems or testing complex devices.
- Assumes responsibility for device and/or internally produced or externally purchased components after transfer into high-volume production and usually responsible for entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication.

How you meet these criteria must be clearly indicated on your resume to be considered for a position.
- Bachelor’s degree student with a sophomore or junior level class standing
- Must be registered to attend the SWE 2024 Career Fair this October 2024
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in an engineering major OR will be attending their first year of their Master’s program by Fall of 2025.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for an employment visa
- Participants must be able to participate full time (40 hours/week) as part of our intern cohort:
- Monday, June 2 – Friday, August 15 *Exception to these dates are possible only for students enrolled at schools that follow the quarter system
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: Python, C/C++ and/or C#, CAD: SolidWorks/Autocad or equivalent, Minitab, and/or MATLAB
- Prior work on projects in a team environment
- Relevant academic project, internship, or lab experience
- Technical writing skills
- A minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA
- Flexibility in geographic location
- Experience with statistics, data analysis, mechanical or electrical design, Design of Experiments (DoE), and/or clean room
- Knowledge of polymer, plastics and metallics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills who is curious, a problem solver, and a self-starter
- Experience with Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) and mechanical or electrical design
- A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail who is a fast learner
