We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs, helping them achieve their full potential in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Assess students’ skills and learning requirements.
- Adapt general lessons to meet the needs of students.
- Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment.
- Employ a variety of teaching techniques and methods to meet students’ needs and capabilities.
- Monitor students’ progress and use data to adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).
- Strong understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of special education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to work with students with special needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs in a classroom setting.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive tools for special education.
