Senior AccountantPosition Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities
- Performing month-end and year-end closing activities including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparing financial statements.
- Managing the company’s accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and identifying areas for process improvement.
- Assisting with the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports, such as P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Overseeing the intercompany accounting process and reconciling intercompany balances.
- Performing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial reporting, including preparation of P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Experience with GL reconciliations and inventory reconciliations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA designation preferred.
