Get a peek into life here at Kraft Heinz through our and TikTok channels!Senior Accountant, Product Costing at a Glance….The Senior Accountant provides product costing support for manufacturing sites with exposure to both External Manufacturing and Kraft Heinz owned locations. The position interacts frequently with Manufacturing Finance, Plant Finance and Operations and will provide insights into the decision-making process as it relates to the monthly close process, major planning cycles, and managing of general costs. This position will enable an individual to gain a thorough awareness of the product costing process and its implication to Kraft Heinz’s financial results and goals. This role is critical in providing accurate and insightful product costing information to senior leadership and cross functional teams, which will drive strategic decision-making and overall company success. The position provides opportunities to identify, lead, and drive process improvements within Product Costing, the Manufacturing and operations process.What’s on the menu?
- Lead monthly financial close processes for external manufacturing locations, ensuring accurate inventory balances and product cost reporting
- Perform monthly inventory cycle counts, investigate variances, and post adjustments.
- Be an active leader in bringing value through continual improvement to the organization as it pertains to inventory and expense reporting processes.
- Work as a site change agent to streamline and improve processes in cooperation with plant staff.
- Perform bill of material and overhead standard cost reviews to ensure product standard cost accuracy; Recommend updates, as necessary.
- Review the monthly cost explosion for reasonableness and manage exceptions.
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc analyses to drive insight on changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to understand and report on variances between actual and standard costs
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed product cost analysis
- Conduct regular audits of inventory data and processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required
- 2+ years relevant work experience
- Ability to show initiative and help drive impactful decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
- A critical thinker, analytical problem-solver with ability to interpret data
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
- Excellent inter-personal skills and strong communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Cost accounting experience desired
- SAP knowledge desired
