Job Description:Role Summary:Reporting to the Controller – Industrial and Technology Services, the Senior Accountant – Emerging Markets will partner with the operational management team as it expands and diversifies the business’s operational footprint by maintaining ownership of the financial close cycle, including all associated reporting and budgeting functions. Additionally, this candidate should have the proven ability to provide business insights into factors driving performance, along with developing suggestions for improving the financial health of the business by establishing KPIs designed to enhance decision making.Essential Duties:
- Responsible for monthly close cycle and reporting financial results to the appropriate parties and stakeholders.
- Accurately and quickly perform variance analysis to ensure financial results accurately reflect operational activity.
- Coordinate discussions with operations to produce near-term revenue and EBITDA forecasts and prepare the monthly reporting package with assistance from operations management.
- Resolve open questions arising from senior management review of monthly operating results.
- Design and implement business process changes as needed to address identified risks or to improve information required for decision making.
- Collaborate with operations to strategize on improving financial health.
- Prepare and evaluate capital requests and alignment to approved annual plan. Support the business in making the most efficient capital decisions.
- Provide existing KPIs and identify new metrics as needed or required.
- Improve existing, and develop new, controls as required to fill any identified deficiencies.
- Oversight of annual budget process, ensuring alignment between the short-term business plan and business objectives.
- Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Must have high skill levels in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and interfacing with ERP and BI systems.
- Knowledge of all aspects of accounting functions and principles.
- Knowledge of accounting and billing systems (Oracle and RentalMan) a plus.
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision. The individual needs to be highly organized.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
- Willing to work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
Education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses:
- Five to eight years related experience.
- CPA not required, but a plus.
