This position involves overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and providing support to the CFO.Responsibilities:Prepare financial reports and analyze accounting statements.Oversee accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.Post journal entries, prepare reconciliations, and assist with audits and tax processes.Investigate interdepartmental reporting inconsistencies and ensure accuracy of accounting entries.Oversee vendor management, payroll processing, and accounting report reviews.Support loan servicing, contract management, and cost analysis.Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare branch financial statements.Oversee tax form preparation and field questions from borrowers and vendors.Assist with accounting system maintenance and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.8+ years of relevant accounting experience, with 2+ years in the mortgage industry.CPA designation preferred.Experience with LoanVision is a plus.Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, accrual accounting, and GAAP.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Benefits:In addition to our collaborative culture and ability to work remotely; we offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth.If you are a highly motivated and experienced accountant looking for a rewarding career in the mortgage industry, we encourage you to apply.
