Position: Personal Care AttendantReports to: Director of NursingFSLA Classification: Non-exemptSummaryProvides assigned residents with routine personal care in accordance with care standards and as directed by supervisor.Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities * Promotes and communicates Legendary Service and honors and upholds the mission of the organization.
- Responsible for acting and responding in a professional manner.
- Assist residents with Daily Living Activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transfer, ambulation, toileting and other resident needs under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure the following tasks are completed on a daily basis: beds are made; trash has been removed from the room, that meals are served to residents and maintain a high level of hygiene in the room.
- Carries out Health Center department duties on a regular basis, acting within the reasonable scope of practice for a Personal Care Attendant.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with the company and its communities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and QualificationsMust possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
