Office Manager/Accountant

Job Title: Office Manager/AccountantLocation: Colorado Springs, CO (no remote or hyrbid work offered)Job Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Manager/Accountant to oversee our day-to-day accounting functions. This role will involve managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll, billings, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accruals, journal entries, closeout processes, and inventory management. This position is designed for growth, with opportunities to work closely with the CFO on various financial projects, including forecasting and cash flow management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Oversee billing processes and ensure all invoices are issued and collected in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management and valuation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on financial projects and provide insights on financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the office, including organizing files and managing communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in full-cycle construction accounting
  • Proficient in accounting software Quickbooks is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accruals and accrual & inventory entries.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
