Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Care: Perform thorough patient assessments to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will be responsible for monitoring patient conditions, identifying any changes, and making critical decisions regarding care adjustments.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous (IV) therapy, injections, and blood transfusions. Ensure accurate dosage, timing, and documentation in patient records.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care. Provide clear instructions and support to help patients manage their health and recovery at home.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, specialists, and therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Facilitate effective communication between team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and mentor  Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), providing guidance and support as they deliver patient care. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining a high standard of care within your unit.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting all aspects of patient care, including assessments, treatments, and outcomes. Adhere to all regulatory and facility-specific documentation requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies with swift, decisive action. Utilize your advanced clinical skills to stabilize patients, administer emergency treatments, and coordinate with emergency medical teams as needed.
  • Patient Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients’ needs and preferences are respected and that they receive appropriate care. Address any concerns or issues that arise, working to improve the overall patient experience.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the facility, contributing your insights and expertise to enhance patient care processes, safety protocols, and overall healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN License: You must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where you will be working.
  • Clinical Experience: A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred. Specialty certifications or experience in areas such as ICU, ER, or surgery are advantageous.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions, make informed decisions, and provide high-quality care.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
