HVAC Technician

HVAC Technician will be responsible to install, repair and maintain a variety of equipment including but not limited to refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, boilers, exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, etc. while working safely and conforming to best practices.Benefit Information:ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit |ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Completes corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.
  • Operates & maintains HVAC equipment, including chillers, absorbers, generators, boilers and associated equipment.
  • Inspects HVAC systems and their components for the purpose of the evaluation condition, indemnity necessary repairs and recommending preventative maintenance.
  • Calibrates temperature control related sensors, receivers and transmitters
  • Monitors, troubleshoots and maintains control systems, including pneumatic, DDS / hybrid systems.
  • Effectively monitors and adjusts interior environments via a Building Automation System
  • Repairs and maintains other mechanical and physical plant systems, including motors, pumps, valves, compressors, etc.
  • Maintains relevant logs and documentation.
  • Monitors the performance of HVAC subcontractors, including conformance to code.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.
  • Other similar responsibilities.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Min 3 years of commercial HVAC experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experienced with schematics and blueprints
  • Self-motivated and good working either with a team or individually
  • Comfortable with different technology-based applications and computers

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Universal HVAC license and valid state driver’s license.
