We are looking to add a full-time HR Specialist to our team.POSITION SUMMARYThe HR Specialist is an entry-level position that performs confidential administrative tasks associated with the human resources management of the hospital, assisting with recruitment, compliance, risk management, workers’ compensation, orientation of new employees, and record keeping.Primary Duties:HR RECORDKEEPING
- Prepare and update employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting and terminating, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Manage access items and tools for new and existing staff, such as email credentials, badges, and keys.
- Perform employment verifications.
COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT
- Maintain compliance and current data for direct care staff license, CPI certification, CPR, web-based training requirements, and competencies.
- Support worker’s compensation processes and leave management.
RECRUITING
- Track hires through the offer, background check and onboarding process.
- Partner with HR Director to determine suitability for employment.
- Ensure new hire paperwork is complete and processed, including I-9 documentation.
- Collect and maintain employee competency and training records.
POLICY & PROCEDURE
- Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees; comply with federal and state laws, as applicable.

- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years administrative or office experience, preferably performing a combination of HR, payroll, and administrative job duties.
- Strong communication skills and expresses urgency to follow up and follow through on all transactions.
