SummaryLeaders of Tomorrow Learning Academy (LOTLA) is seeking both experienced and new graduates to come to join us. A successful candidate will provide instruction for students that enables them to learn and demonstrate mastery of the Creative Curriculum.   • Provides content-related and appropriate instruction based on LOTLA curriculum
  • Integrates appropriate technology into classroom instruction
  • Provides classroom environment which promotes active learning in subject area
  • Exhibits knowledge of performance-based instructions and assessment
  • Communicates responsibly with all students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership
  • Facilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communications
  • Works with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student’s educational program
  • Prepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absent
  • Accounts for student attendance and punctuality
  • Follows all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
  • Follows professional ethics in all work-related activities
  • Avoid behaviors which detract from staff morale
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by the principal

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and building principal
  • Experienced in collaborating with teacher teams and adapting work to the needs of teachers and students
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to utilize technology for communication and instruction to work with parents, students, and other service agencies
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and initiative for working with minimal direct supervision
  • Knowledge and experience using technology for communication, data analysis, gathering and organizing information for presentations
  • Working knowledge of current research and resources in math instruction
  • Proficient use of the computer
  • Maintain confidentiality

Requirements

  • Bachelor?s Degree or Masters from a regionally accredited university (Conferred)
  • Must hold a Georgia certificate in applicable field verifiable by the GaPCS
  • Degree in Education, with a focus on early childhood learning.
  • Past experience teaching children in the pre-kindergarten age group.
  • Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
  • Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
  • Mediation skills for resolving conflicts between children.
  • Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
  • Familiarity using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.

  • Using creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
  • Planning a curriculum that addresses early childhood education requirements.

  • Supervising children outside of class time, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or on field trips.

  • Communicating with parents to learn more about each child’s life outside the classroom.
  • Creating reports to inform parents about their children’s progress at school.

We begin our programming for children as young as 6 weeks old and continue until their 13th birthday. Our hours of operation are quite accommodating. Some centers open at 5:30am or 6:00am until 6pm. Our employees are also educated to handle emergency situations. All of them hold certifications in both first aid and CPR.
