We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join our dynamic team.Job SummaryThe Financial Reporting Accountant will play a crucial role in preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial reporting processes. This position requires a strong foundation in public accounting, with a specific focus on the construction and real estate industries.Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Reconciliation: Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
  • Policy Maintenance: Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and changes in accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BS in Accounting).
  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with a base in public accounting.
  • Experience in the construction and real estate industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
