We believe that play is work and that learning is doing. We center our curriculum around the idea that “every moment is a teaching moment”. We understand that the toddler’s mind is in a constant state of absorption and that when provided with age-appropriate opportunities for exploration, their potential for growth is limitless. This idea combined with our own experiences as mothers and educators provides a curriculum that caters to the whole child; cognitively, socially, and emotionally.Minimum Qualifications * Experience: 2+ years of classroom experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Early Childhood Certification
- Knowledge and skills:
- ● Love working with children ages 18 months – 4yrs old.
- ● Be a self-starter and be self-motivated.
- ● Be dependable and responsible.
- ● Have the ability to work well in a team-teaching environment.
- ● Must have basic computer skills and know how to navigate Google Docs and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Demands: Positions may vary from standing, sitting, or walking. On occasion it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc. Be able to lift up to 40lbs.Conditions of Employment
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification.
- Must submit to a live scan and background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willing to commute.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend a monthly staff meeting (Occasionally In-person)
- Connect weekly with your teaching partner to lesson plan.
- Connect weekly via Newsletter with parents/guardians.
- Manage and keep track of snack budgets for the class.
- Pick up supplies needed in our office in Eagle Rock (90041).
