Background:Kent, Campa and Kate Incorporated (KCK) is a federal contracting company that provides professional services to Government Agencies.We are currently seeking a transitioning military member for a temporary entry-level Contract Closeout Support position at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. - Must be a transitioning Servicemember or have transitioned from military service within the last three (3) years or current Reservist.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Must be local to the on-site location
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Willing and able to attend training sessions for all duties & responsibilities as assigned.
- Preferred Experience:
- Strong Computer skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Administrative skills.
- Strong work ethic, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Good character and team player.
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels and to work under minimal supervision.
- Written and verbal English proficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.).
- Associates in Business or related field
- Attended one of the Services Military Leadership Development Courses
Work Duties: (Training will be provided for all duties & responsibilities outlined below)
- Reconcile contract histories by reviewing financial and contractual records, including changes due to mergers, organizational updates, and personnel shifts.
- Request and respond to property audits, handle pricing inquiries, and prepare reports for completed audits.
- Ensure contract records are accurate and complete, issuing reports to assist in finalizing records.
- Review closed contracts to confirm necessary documentation is available and coordinate additional steps for contract closeout, such as equipment and material purchases.
- Work with vendors and government agencies to gather and verify required documentation for closing contracts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports, ensuring that funds are properly balanced.
- Coordinate with the Financial Department to secure funding for final payments and validate vendor invoices.
- Review and process agreements to ensure correct vendor payment.
- Prepare final payment packages for government approval.
- Maintain and update closeout tracking spreadsheets, status reports, and contractor contacts.
