Clinical Pharmacology Research Fellow

About the role

  • The clinical pharmacology research fellow will lead the activities and coordinate the efforts for the implementation of extrapolation methodologies for paediatric diseases.
  • Ensure scientific and clinical pharmacology-related activities are aligned with the overall project objectives as well as pre-defined deliverables.
  • Develop drug-disease models and simulation scenarios supporting the extrapolation of efficacy across diseases based on the credibility framework.
  • Travel between London and Belgium, France and Italy for workshops and face-to-face meetings with other consortium members.

The post is available until 30 September 2027 in the first instance.

About youYou will have a PhD in bioengineering or similar relevant discipline (e.g., clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, biomedical engineering, PKPD modelling). Working knowledge of nonlinear mixed effects modelling principles and Bayesian statistics. Working knowledge and hands on experience with pharmacometrics software tools, in particular NONMEM and MONOLIX Experience with (clinical) population pharmacokinetics and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modelling, and in particular with the analysis of antibiotics and paediatric data. Working knowledge of clinical pharmacology principles, GCP and regulatory guidelines regarding the requirements for the evaluation and approval of paediatric medicines.
