ShareLocated in Bellingham, WASalary: $33.00 per hourJob Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham has partnered with a local company in Bellingham to find an experienced Accountant. This position is responsible for general accounting and reporting functions. The accountant has full knowledge of the chart of accounts, account rules, and coding procedures. This position is also responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts and preparing audit lead schedules, monthly allocations, and year-end closing procedures.Responsibilities Include:· Prepares complex accounting transactions and accruals regularly· Assists in the completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures· Updates and prepares financial reports and ledger analysis monthly· Update spreadsheets to track administrative expenses (author travel support, grant expenses, BOD travel, joint venture activity, etc.)· Participates in the annual budgeting data entry process.· Monitors primary checking account balances and positive pay reports daily· Reconciles Balance Sheet accounts· Creates Fixed Asset records· Prepares Lead Schedules for financial audit· Processes non-customer cash receipts· Fill requests from customers and vendors for W-9s.Qualifications Include:· Intermediate level of Excel and Word· Basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles· Knowledge of fund accounting and not-for-profit accounting desired· Good oral and written communication skills· Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities· Ability to reason through moderately complex accounting transactions· Experience handling cash is desired· 4-year degree in accounting or equivalent, relevant experience· Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience including cost accounting, budget preparation, and tax preparation· Some college-level accounting classes desiredPay: $33/hour DOEShift: Full TimePosition Type: Long-TermLocation: BellinghamBenefits Available to Eligible Express Associates:
