The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller, contributing to the preparation and integrity of financial records. - Partner with the Assistant Controller on accounting and financial functions
- Compile and review financial data for reporting and accuracy
- Prepare, evaluate, and support the creation of analyses to support financial/business plans, budget, and forecasts
- Manages and/or implements related policies, procedures, and controls for both existing and new processes relevant to accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related areas
- Maintain general ledger, journal integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assure compliance with all company reporting and tax requirements, including accounts with tax agencies regarding unemployment, sales tax, payroll permits, etc.
- Implement/improve budgeting and forecasting systems and processes
- Process Payroll
What We’re Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in accounting or financial reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- A strong familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Analytical, can find meaning in numbers, and be a data-driven decision-maker
- Excellent communicator: written and oral
