Job Summary:Our client is seeking a Remote Tax Accountant with 2-4 plus years public accounting experience for pleasant, friendly, work/life balance for a Suffolk boutique CPA firm located in Islandia, NY. Candidate must enjoy accounting/tax and approach the profession with passion and energy. Our client’s practice is growing, and we are seeking an associate who wants to grow with the firm. This is a Position with great scope for advancement.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly bookkeeping for business clients.
- Prepare & review quarterly Sales Tax & Payroll tax returns.
- Prepare and review business tax returns (S-Corporations, Partnerships & LLCs) and personal income tax returns from beginning to end and communicate with client.
- Prepare year-end tax projections for year-end planning purposes.
- Prepare year-end closings including adjusting journal entries as necessary.
- Address/respond to IRS & state notices, workers compensation & disability audits & assist in business formation process
- Perform periodic follow-up communication with clients on missing information
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting with 2-4 plus years public accounting experience.
- CPA a plus
- Knowledgeable in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge and experience with Ultra Tax a plus.
- Experience in public accounting sufficient to complete the job functions above
- Compensation commensurate with capability and experience
