Then this may be the job for you! Join our amazing team!As a Lumen Sr Accountant of the Revenue team, you will provide timely and accurate accounting for assigned revenue. This role ensures that all revenues are recorded monthly and to accurately maintain all accounts on the respective balance sheets through reconciliation to the general ledger. Variance analysis will be an important part of monthly close duties along with research and reporting.The Main Responsibilities
- Liaison with Financial Planning & Analysis, Billing, and Revenue Accounting teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the monthly revenue reporting.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and willingness to stay curious and tackle tough issues.
- Support audit functions for Internal, External, and SOX Compliance.
- Assist in accurately preparing quarterly disclosure requests.
- Analyze and prepare monthly journal entries with sufficient and complete documentation.
- Perform P&L variance analysis for completeness and accuracy of revenue.
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations for assigned General Ledger accounts in accordance with internal and SOX controls.
- Assist team with special projects and ad-hoc reporting as requested
- Run product variance reports for monthly analysis during General Ledger close.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and relevant experience required; 4+ years of related experience
- Master’s degree preferred; 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of ASC 606 principles
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
- Ability to multitask by working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability and willingness to meet deadlines imposed by monthly close cycles and quarterly disclosure requests
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with individuals at all levels
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, OneStream, Blackline, and Business Objects.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite of Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and PowerBI
- Proven track record of achieving professional goals successfully
CompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.Location Based Pay Ranges
