Senior Property Accountant!A prominent 50-year-old Real Estate Development and Management Firm with a large multi-state property portfolio is looking to hire a Senior Property Accountant to join the team. - The primary responsibility of the Senior Property Accountant will be to oversee various accounting operations including accounts receivable, budgets and forecasting, general ledger, and monthly/annual close.
- Prepare detailed month-end, quarterly, and annual variance analytics and financial statements.
- Prepare CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and billings.
- Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures.
- Review property budgets and forecasts.
- Work cohesively with asset management, development, and property management teams to accurately produce accounting information.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.
Requirements:
- B.S. Degree in Accounting preferred.
- 5+ years of demonstrated Property Accounting experience within the commercial real estate industry.
- Extensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable, GL Accounting, and GAAP.
- Strong knowledge of accounting requirements and familiarity with balance sheet review, variance tracking, and budgeting process.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Strong experience calculating CAM (Common Are Maintenance) reconciliations.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientated focus. Excellent communicator with a passion for learning and contributing.
- Software proficiency in Yardi/Argus preferred.
