Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting. Ensure that patients are comfortable, dignified, and well-cared for throughout their daily routines.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Report any changes or abnormalities to the nursing staff promptly.
• Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to chairs, assisting with walking, and positioning patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
• Support to Nursing Staff: Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with medical procedures, including setting up equipment, providing support during treatments, and documenting patient care.
• Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, addressing their concerns and offering comfort. Create a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families.
• Hygiene and Infection Control: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and common areas. Follow infection control procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team. Provide updates on patient conditions and any observed changes or issues.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities, including daily observations, changes in condition, and any incidents. Ensure that records are kept up-to-date and compliant with facility policies.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Ensure patient safety and comfort, and report any safety concerns or incidents immediately.

Qualifications

• Certification: Must hold a current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state where you will be working.
• Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial, but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
