SAM is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation and has over $600 billion under management in mutual funds and ETFs. Products managed include a wide variety of active and indexed equity, fixed income, and asset allocation strategies, as well as money markets funds. SAM uses a consistent and disciplined approach to investing across all our products and seeks to develop innovative new products to meet the core investing needs of our clients.Investment Strategy is responsible for analyzing and interpreting the U.S. economy and stock market on behalf of Schwab’s clients. The team’s analysis is distributed to clients and the public via written reports, audio and video recordings, conference calls and webcasts; and the strategists regularly appear in media publications (print, radio, and broadcast), as well as industry conferences.In this role you will work extensively with the Senior Investment Strategist to both learn about and contribute to the process of crafting the team’s economic and market outlook. Gather and analyze daily news, data, and market developments. Utilize a “self-starting” mindset to explore important datapoints and issues with the goal of artfully explaining the biggest risks to the economy (both the upside and downside). Navigate internal company procedures to manage Compliance requirements, media requests, and other various administrative functions for the Senior Investment Strategist. - Enrolled in a current graduate program in Business Administration
- Targeting graduation between August 2025 through June 2026
- And if you receive a full time offer after your internship, the ability to start full time employment after you graduate anytime between December 2025 through September 2026
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a planned graduation date between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
- 3+ years of work experience in related role
- Coursework or interest in economics, valuation, behavioral finance, statistics, history, psychology, or political science
- Excellent skills related to speaking, writing, and listening
- Acute attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills that allow for balancing multiple projects at once
- Advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office functions—particularly working with large datasets in Excel
- Ability to quickly learn and master internal processes and procedures
- Bloomberg Terminal experience preferred; familiarity required
